UK Visitor Visa

• Valid passport or travel document (must have at least one blank page for visa).
• Any old or previous passports (to show travel history).
• Clear copy of the passport’s identity/biometric page.

• Completed online UK visa application form.
• Printout of appointment confirmation for biometric enrolment.
• Biometric information (fingerprints and photograph) to be provided at the Visa Application Centre.

• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Must follow UK visa photo specifications (white background, clear quality, correct size).

• Travel itinerary (flight bookings, tentative travel plan).
• Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings or invitation / address of where you will stay).
• Invitation letter if visiting family or friends (should mention purpose of visit, relationship, duration of stay, UK address, and contact information).

• Bank statements for the last 3 to 6 months.
• Payslips (if employed).
• Income Tax Returns (last 2–3 years), if available.
• Proof of assets (optional but helpful): Fixed Deposits, Mutual Funds, Property papers, other investments.
• If someone in the UK is sponsoring your visit:
  • Sponsor’s financial proof (bank statements, payslips, etc.).
  • Sponsorship letter clearly explaining relationship and who will bear expenses.

If employed:

• Employer letter on company letterhead mentioning role, salary, duration of employment, and approved leave.
• Recent salary slips.

If self-employed:

• Company incorporation / registration documents (GST, MSME, Partnership deed, etc. as applicable).
• Company bank statements and tax returns.

If student:

• Student ID card.
• Bonafide certificate from school/college.
• Leave letter / permission letter from institution.

If retired:

• Pension statement or retirement proof.

• Evidence that you will return after your trip — such as stable job, ongoing business, family dependents, property ownership, or other responsibilities in India.
• For children under 18:
  • Birth certificate.
  • Consent letter from parent(s) if the child is not travelling with both parents.

• Previous visas / travel history (Schengen, USA, UK, etc.).
• Sponsor documents (if applicable): passport copy, UK visa/residence status, UK proof of address, financial documents.
• Cover letter explaining purpose of trip, duration of stay, itinerary, and who will bear the expenses.
• Certified translations for any document not in English (or Welsh) — required if originals are in regional language.

• Old or outdated bank statements beyond one year (unless specifically requested).
• Credit card statements as main financial proof.
• Driving licence as proof of funds.
• Personal photos, business cards, or random certificates unrelated to your application.
